Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Is it worth it?:
Hans Urs von Balthasar: Mysterium Paschale: The Mystery of Easter
An important work by preeminent Catholic theologian. He captures the four movements of Incarnation, Crucifixion, Descending into Hell and the Resurrection. (***)
Nicholas Carr: The Shallows: What the Internet Is Doing to Our Brains
A book about how technology is changing our brains - literally. My FB/Twitter fast is a by-product of reading this book and...wait for it...I am considering giving up my iPhone so I am not such a slave to "checking" stuff every moment. Someone help me so I don't do something rash. :) (***)
Seth Godin: The Icarus Deception: How High Will You Fly?
Ok, I am sucker for books like this and am a big Seth Godin fan. I read one of them about every other month. This book however is somewhat disjointed (a blog mashup) and wee redundant. (**)
Adam Neder: Participation in Christ: An Entry into Karl Barth's Church Dogmatics (Columbia Series in Reformed Theology)
A wonderful entry into Barth by a brilliant scholar and friend. Now, you can tackle Barth's Church Dogmatics. It's only about 9,000 pages. :) (****)
N. T. Wright: How God Became King: The Forgotten Story of the Gospels
Terrific. I always come away from reading Wright encouraged. It is not that I agree with is whole approach, but love his view of Scripture and his acknowledgement of the Kingship of Jesus. (****)
